| | Just like half the human population I guess, I've been an Eagles fanatic for the longest 30 years...actually when they aired Hotel C. Since they broke up in the late seventies, I've been hunting for every single piece of new material, but I must say this one is pretty boring. Nice vocals,(you would expect so anyway),but too repetitive, with an impression of "been there already". I would rather strongly recommend the new 2CD album. That's where you will find them flying high again.. |

| I got this movie from my DVD club since I loved the song. Getting this movie, though, makes you dislike the song. Here is all that happens:
1. On the menu, it is playing the song, which is fine.
2. You have one version of the song. After you hear that, you don't want to hear the other mix, which sounds the same as the first.
3. The Back Stage Pass just shows people setting up the stage, which is boring.
4. It was suppossed to show the Eagles doing things like traveling and joking around. I can't remember anytime that it showed that much joking or traveling.
Don't waste your money on this movie. It is so bad! I can't even see a huge Eagles fan enjoying this! If you enjoy the Eagles, buy the Farwell 1 tour! |

| On the DVD for The Eagles Farewell Tour #1, Don Henley explains the 'conception' of the song "Hole In The World". He said that the band was supposed to go into the studio on Sept 11th to start work on a new album. Needless to say, they never went into the studio that day, or for some time after.
But that night, on Sept 11th, the song, Hole In The World was written. The lyrics are haunting. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up, and I cried, and played the song over and over.
I was at home on 9/11, and watched it all unfold on TV. I am a veteran of the US Air Force, and an Proud American. And every year on 9/11, I say a prayer for all the lives lost on that day, and pray for all their families. I also thank God that I live in America. And I thank God for all who survived 9/11, and for those who gave their lives to save others.
Their song, should also be an anthem for 9/11.
I applaude The Eagles, for their endearing lyrics, and songwriting expertise.
Just listen to the song, and you'll know why I cried.
